On my way to my first formal dinner. No bow tie required this time....although I did have to bust out my suit and graduate gown (not in the picture). Dinner was a three course meal: bread and soup then roasted potatoes, squash and and steak and then cheesecake. We sat at long tables dimly lit, in a large very old building -- the walls lined with the crests of the colleges as well as large paintings of old famous people from Merton College. It was a great night of food and meeting new people as well as a few prayers in Latin. More to come....
